A little smaller.
A lot more private.
Your documents don’t need a round trip to a server.
Compression happens locally in your browser, using your device’s processing power. The PDF is not uploaded, stored on our servers, or sent to an AI service.
You can use the compressor without signing in. If you create an account, account details are sent to our authentication service. Your PDF remains local.

knows what to keep.
Text and vector graphics stay as text and vectors. We optimize supported embedded images instead of turning every page into a picture.
A practical guide to PDF qualityKeep the words crisp
Native text stays selectable and sharp when you zoom.
Choose the trade-off
High quality uses image recompression. Use lossless mode when every pixel matters.
Know the limits
Already optimized files may barely shrink. Large documents depend on your device’s available memory.
Small details.
Straight answers.
Is this PDF compressor free?
Yes. You can compress and download a PDF without creating an account.
Does compressing a PDF reduce its quality?
Lossless mode optimizes PDF structure without deliberately changing image pixels. High quality and Smaller file modes can change image detail. Native text and vector graphics are preserved. Always review your downloaded document before sharing it.
Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?
No. The compressor reads and processes your file locally in the browser. Account registration and login use a separate server connection, but your PDF is not included.
Why didn’t my PDF get smaller?
Some PDFs are already efficiently compressed. Others contain images that this compressor does not change. If optimization produces a larger file, we offer your original instead.
Can I compress a PDF on my phone?
Yes, in a modern supported browser. Large files may exceed your phone’s memory. Try a desktop browser if processing fails or the tab closes.
What about signed or password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted files are not supported. Changing a digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signature, so the compressor rejects PDFs with detected digital signatures. Keep the original document for legal or archival use.
